celtic poker grand final

played the cpt final last weekend.This was my first big tornement so to speak.was a good tornement 200+ runners. 140k was payed out. play started at 2 on day one and i got of to a flyer some guy donked of 80% of his stack to me in first level. played fairly tight poker after that just watching table and not getting involved in big hands.after the first 4 levels the top up was giving it was 200 for 10k so i had 27k after the break which was pretty sweet.after the break i got moved to a fairly tight table. I started to play more aggresive poker. About 4 hands in i raised in late poss with 9s,10s folded round to big blind he calls. flop comes As,Ks,9h he checked to me i bet 3.5k pot size and he calls turn comes a 4s he checks again i bet 10k and he pushes in for 26k i decided to call and he turns over 6s,8s so hes dead nice one. i was second in chips with 75k blinds were 1k 2k.i ended day1 with 82k was very happy with this. 75players to day2. Day 2 came and for the first 4or5 levels i was totally card dead was down to 40k. the last hand before the break i was small blind and folded around and i called bb checks i had q,5 flop comes a,q,5 i bet out 4k bb raises to 12k i push for 30k more bb thinks for an eternity and calls turns over a,3. good so far turn comes q. and river comes a Q, ha sweet 88k by the break.
table was broke 4 tables left and all the big stacks are on my table.
blinds are 3k6k and in bb mid poss raise of 16k one caller i look down at 10,10 and decide to push for 70k original raiser folds with guy behind and he thinks for ages and eventually calls i didnt want a caller but when he turned over a,q off for 90%of his stack i tink wtf are you doing donkey. anyway 9 high flop turns a blank and big fat ace on river and im heading home. was happy enough with my 35th place finish. played solid enough all week would have been nice to cash as top 20 were payed but cant win em all.
